Fitness Friday- Leslee from Her Happy Balance

Hi All! My name is Leslee and I am a healthy living blogger and self-proclaimed foodie and fitness freak blogging over at Her Happy Balance! Come say hi to me sometime and let’s be friends πŸ˜‰ I’m so happy to be guest blogging for Molly today and I’d love to share a workout for Fitness Friday!

How many times have you wanted to get in a workout but just don’t feel like taking the effort to hop in your car, drive all the way to the gym, then brave the gym-going crowd to find the machines you want to use? This happens way too much to me, especially right now when it is super cold and windy out in Philly and I would pretty much just rather hibernate in my house. But that’s alright, because I’ve come up with a great workout that you can do in the comfort of your own warm house. And the best part, no equipment required! All you need is some floor space! Give this a go:

Now some of those exercises may sound complicated, but I assure you they really are not! If you’re unsure how to complete one of the exercises, just head on over to Women’s Health. They are a fantastic resource for great workout moves! And after you’ve completed this doozy of a workout, you’re going to need to refuel! There’s tons of ways you can do this, but two of my favorites are by juicing and making protein shakes. If you don’t have a juicer, you can always make a smoothie in a blender! And as for protein shakes, this is one of favorites:

Chocolate Peanut Butter Protein Shake:

-1 scoop chocolate protein powder (just choose your favorite brand, preferably with 15g. or more protein per serving)

-1 tsp. PB2

-1 tbsp ground flax seed

-8 oz. of coconut water, or just plain ol’ water depending on what’s in your fridge

Mix all ingredients very well and drink away! The flax will not go into solution, so if you like completely fluid and smooth shakes skip this ingredient.

So now you have no excuse! Pick out some of your favorite jams, crank ’em up and get moving! Remember, there will always be excuses not to do something. Here’s one of my favorite motivational quotes:

Just keep that in mind, blogging friends! Thanks for reading, and have a wonderful weekend! Do something that pushes you out of your comfort zone πŸ™‚
